Vandoren introduced the "Profile 88" range in 1988 to offer an alternative to the standard 'Traditional' beak angle. The Profile 88 beak allows the player to hold the instrument in a different playing position further away from their body.
The "13 Series" was developed for American clarinettists using A440 pitch.
